The Non-Profit Boot Camp eLearning Series strengthens the organizational capacity and effectiveness of non-profit, community-based organizations working on food systems change.

Christina Garza has over 25 years of experience working with and in nonprofit organizations as a community activist, nonprofit executive, foster care advocate, and community researcher and will deliver the Organizational Wellness & Resiliency course.

Christina Garza, Christina Garza Consulting (Chicago, IL)

Christina has more than 25 years of experience working with and in nonprofit organizations as a community activist, nonprofit executive, foster care advocate, and community researcher.  Her broad range of experiences have cultivated her skills in organizational development, consulting, capacity building, community participatory research, program evaluation, youth workforce development, fundraising, and strategic partnerships. Having dedicated her career to strengthening the nonprofit sector to deliver transformative, high impact services that improve people’s daily lives, Christina is especially passionate about developing professionals and strengthening organizations to truly embody social justice and equity to create collective impact.  She was a participant in the Food Systems Leaders Retreat in Summer 2018 in New Orleans, LA and was a co-facilitator in the Fall 2018 Leadership Retreat in Kansas City, MO.  The Chicago native holds a master’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and is a licensed minister. Her passions include shopping for shoes, hunting for antiques, spending time with her teenage daughter and family, and dancing salsa.​
