Lab Note #1: From 44 to 6
In this new "Lab Note" column, we'll be keeping our community of food systems leaders updated with the latest initiative coming out of the Food Systems Leadership Network: the Gamechangers Laboratory. During this 6-month creative journey, 3 teams will design new strategies for tackling food insecurity through community-based food systems.
In this first update, we're excited to share that we received a total of 44 stellar applications representing 30 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. We worked with 16 peer reviewers from the FSLN to help identify the top 6 finalist teams, which we are now interviewing alongside the Gamechangers Team Advisors. Both the applicants and reviewers are wonderfully diverse and represent a wide variety of backgrounds, cultures, perspectives, and geographic locations. Watching the videos and learning more about the work going on throughout the country is incredibly inspiring - it will no doubt be tough to select only three teams!
Huge thank you to all the applicants and reviewers - stay tuned for our next update!
