The Food Chain Workers Alliance is a coalition of worker-based organizations whose members plant, harvest, process, pack, transport, prepare, serve, and sell food, organizing to improve wages and working conditions for all workers along the food chain. Before joining the Alliance staff in 2018, Sonia worked as an organizer with Labor Notes and also spent 12 years organizing with the Workers’ Action Centre, a worker center in Toronto, where she supported low-wage and immigrant workers to fight for fair wages and working conditions, and coordinated province-wide campaigns.
About the FSLN Coffee Chats:
Coffee Chats are informal conversations among FSLN members and colleagues centered around a specific topic of interest to this community, creating a space to share our thoughts and ideas, ask each other questions, and tap into the collective knowledge of the FSLN. Each chat begins with a brief "interview" with a special guest with topical expertise, then opens up for discussion & Q&A. Coffee Chats occur on the third Wednesday of every month at 3pm central on the Zoom video-conferencing platform. Registration is limited and will be conducted on a first come, first serve basis.
