Network Weavers are creators, connectors, and conveners. As a Network Weaver, you will work closely with Wallace Center staff to engage with FSLN members to discern needs, interests, and emerging trends, and brainstorm strategies that tap into the wisdom embedded in the network to tackle complex challenges and accelerate systems change.
FSLN Network Weavers will act as the FSLN’s “community organizers” and thought partners to the network’s support team of Wallace staff. Network Weavers will work closely with Wallace Center staff and each other to:
- Facilitate peer connection and learning opportunities,
- Propose creative strategies to activate the network, increase engagement, and celebrate the diversity of its membership,
- Play an integral role in guiding the network’s direction by deeply understanding the network’s needs and making sense of member and sector challenges, opportunities, and emerging themes,
- Support the transition of the FSLN to a new online platform by providing guidance on messaging, beta testing the new site, and activating discussion.
We are eager to create and are committed to convening a Network Weaving cohort that reflects the diversity of the network, the range of roles members have within the food value chain, and the values, perspectives, and lived experiences members bring with them to this work.
The Network Weaving gig is a 3.5 month role (July 1 - October 15) with the opportunity to stay on longer. This is a fantastic opportunity for FSLN members to take on a leadership role in the Network and help guide its future while learning and practicing systems leadership, facilitation, and network development skills, and strengthening your network with peers who share similar goals and unique perspectives.
We hope you’ll consider joining on as an FSLN Network Weaver! You can find the detailed Scope of Work here and applications are due June 16, 2020.
